Stephanie Magnuson
Hello! Let me introduce myself...
I have been teaching high school math since 2004. I spent one year at Desert Hot Springs High School in California where I taught Geometry and PreCalculus. My next two years were at La Quinta High just down the valley from Desert Hot Springs. At La Quinta, I taught Geometry and IB Math Studies. While at La Quinta I was also the head volleyball coach. February 9, 2007, my daughter Aubrie Mae was born and we returned to Lawrence to be near family. I have taught math and have been the head volleyball coach at Lawrence High since 2007. I also graduated from LHS in 1996, so my pride in LHS comes from the heart of a teacher and a student!
While at LHS I have taught PreCaclulus, Geometry, Algebra I, Pinciples of Algebra and Geometry, Senior Consumer, Analysis, and Algebra II, AP Statistics and Algebra for the College Bound. For the 2016-2017 school year I will have AP Statistics, Analysis, and Algebra for the College Bound.
The most efficient way to reach me is through email at [email protected].
The kids will receive reminders throughout the year of tests, quizzes and other information via Remind101. This can be done through the computer or the telephone. I encourage parents to also join this communication. Links and information can be found on each individual class page.
I ask the students not have cell phones in class without prior permission from myself. If you need to get in touch with your student, you may call direct to my classroom at 330-2150. Thank you for your assistance in this manner.
Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions or concerns. Skyward is updated every Friday and I do my best to return tests and quizzes within 48 hours. I'm looking forward to a fantastic year!!
It a Great Day to Be a Lion,
Stephanie Magnuson
